NYSC - National Youth Service Corps

To educate Corps Members on the risks of smuggling, officials and members of the Nigerian Customs Service will soon be deployed to NYSC Orientation Camps across the nation. Colonel Hameed Ibrahim Ali, Comptroller General of the service said.

He claimed that if the anti-smuggling message reached the populace through the Corps Members, it would be more advantageous to the nation.

Ali revealed this today while meeting Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah, Director General of the NYSC, in his Abuja office.

The head of customs praised the National Youth Service Corps for preparing recent graduates for positions of leadership and self-employment.

The NCS Headquarters' Corps Members have received praise from the Comptroller General for their exemplary behavior, which he described as admirable.

During the visit, Colonel Ali pledged to strengthen the current friendly relationship between the two agencies for the good of all Nigerians.

The Customs Service was praised earlier by the Director General, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah, for welcoming the Corps Members deployed to the organization for their national duty.

However, he asked the NCS for assistance in modernizing the facilities at the NYSC FCT Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja.

In addition, Fadah praised the Customs Service for its diligent efforts in raising money for the federation account.

The DG pledged to strengthen the partnership already in place between the NYSC and the Nigerian Customs Service.
