Optometry section now available at NYSC Headquarters Clinic

An Optometry section has recently been added to the NYSC Headquarters clinic following the recent procurement and installation of eye care facilities.

The equipment procured for the optometry department include automated refractometer, lensmeter, ophthalmoscope, retinoscope, etc.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, who inspected the new section said the equipment were procured in furtherance of Management's commitment to the welfare of Corps members and staff.

Kazaure, who was conducted round the clinic by the Director of Human Resource Management, Mrs. Comfort Makinde, expressed satisfaction with the equipment put in place; noting that the centre can compete favourably with other standard eye centres in the country.

The Director-General used the opportunity of the visit to get his eyes checked by the Doctor in charge. He was also at laboratory section and other units of the clinic to see the state of facilities.

The NYSC Clinic Headquarters is open to corps members as well as NYSC staff and their family members during working hours.
