
Mr. Isaac Sekav Ahungwa, a former National Youth Service Corp member has been offered an automatic employment after his youth service by the governor of Benue state, Governor Samuel Ortom, after riding a bicycle, on completion of his national youth service year, from Oyo state where he served to his home state capital, Markurdi.
Mr. Ahungwa who graduated from the Federal University of Agriculture, Markurdi, from the department of Statistics embarked on a 14-day ride to Markurdi to present his discharge certificate to the governor.
The governor on receiving him on Monday at the Benue peoples House described him as a determined son of the state and added that his action is worthy of emulation.
Mr Ahungwa said that he was motivated by the Governors life story to embark on the patriotism tour. At the commencement of the tour on the 5th of November, he said that the ride will show Nigerians that they can overcome the current economic situation with hard work, belief, perseverance and determination. He also commended the governor of Benue state, Mr. Ortom for being able to handle the development challenges threatening the state in spite of the economic situation.
Ortom made it known that his decision to offer automatic employment to Ahungwa was to inspire other young people never to give up on their dreams no matter the challenges confronting them.
