NYSC extends service year of 60 corps members, sanctions 24 over misconduct in Delta

Authorities of the National Youth Service Corps have sanctioned 24 members, allegedly for indiscipline, misconduct and breach of the NYSC Bye-Laws.

They form part of the 2,657 NYSC Batch B, Stream 11, 2015 corps members that passed out in Delta State.

Eighty of them were remobilised, 60 others are facing extension of service, while four of the corps members bagged state awards for excellence.

The awardees are: Kenechukwu Ezeugo, Omotayo Taiwo, Onyeukwu Stanley and Ayim Chinemerem Ogechi.

Speaking on the rationale behind the remobilisation and extensions, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Ayodele Omotade, said the affected corps members were guilty of indiscipline, misconduct and breach of the NYSC bye-laws.

Ayodele disclosed this at the passing out parade in Asaba.
